15th June - Walk and talk around the gardens of Helmingham Hall with Lady Xa Tollemache

Xa will explain her philosophy on garden design and the love story that developed between her and the garden at Helmingham as she recreated it.

Sarah is a dynamic and experienced art teacher and professional artist. Join her in the garden for a tutorial on sketching/drawing using graphite or charcoal. Please bring materials and a folding chair or rug.

6th July - Gardener's Hour with Helmingham Hall's head gardener Brendan Arundel

Join Brendan for a Q&A on a stroll around the gardens of Helmingham. He will share the challenges and highlights of managing the gardens and will discuss any problems you may be facing with your own garden.

20th July - Growing a cutting garden from scratch with Caroline Saunders and Victoria Uff

Caroline Saunders (@farmhouse.gardener) is a Suffolk gardener and planting designer who will share her expert knowledge on flowers to grow for cutting (with plenty of insider tips on what and how to grow). Joined by Suffolk-based flower farmer Victoria Uff, of The Meadow Patch, who will demonstrate vase arranging using flowers grown on her flower farm.

17th August - The life of a sculptor with Anne Curry MRSS

Anne is exhibiting some of her amazing, monumental scale botanical sculptures at AFC’s Helmingham Sculpture Exhibition and will talk to you about her life as a sculptor and what inspires her. She will demonstrate how she begins her work and how it develops from there.

7th September - Photography in the garden with Lucy J Toms

Lucy is a professional photographer with an enormous skill range. Spend an afternoon in Helmingham’s gardens where she will share her expertise and top tips for great photography. Bring along whatever you use to take photographs!

All events will start at Helmingham Hall from approx. 2pm-4pm, they are outdoor events so in the case of inclement weather you will be contacted and fully refunded.
All events cost £25 per person.
Wright’s Café on site in the Coach House will be open for lunch or afternoon refreshments and is bookable on the Helmingham Hall website
