Chris makes wire and mesh sculptures of birds and beasts, for indoor and outdoor settings. Last year, as well as a successful event with Art For Cure at Helmingham Hall, Chris’ work was show-cased at Leeds City Craft Centre, Newby Hall Sculpture Trail and the Great Yorkshire Show. Previous commissions have included a herd of sheep (based on his sketches) for the Henry Moore Retrospective at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and a life-size horse for World Horse Welfare. 

The concept of Journey has given Chris the chance to look at some iconic breeds of migratory birds in flight such as swallows, starlings and curlews, to celebrate their seasonal return to our shores and skies and the joy that this gives us.
