Dana Finch

In September 2022 Dana walked 200 miles on the Portuguese Camino to Santiago de Compostela, and is still processing the imagery of that trip into this body of work. She rarely draws in situ, and her work comes from remembered glimpses, sensations and observations as she travels through a landscape, whether that is a desert in a distant land or a walk through a lush garden close to home in Cornwall.

Much of Dana’s work is inspired by travel and journeys she has made- sometimes as far back as childhood. Shape and colour evoke memories and mysteriousness as a landscape of her memories.
