Marta Fonfara is a Polish artist living and observing Parisian life in the capital since 2010. Belinda, our founder, discovered Marta’s captivating and unique watercolours of Parisians relaxing in the public gardens of the city during a recent trip there.

Marta studied at the Fine Art Academy in Poznan, Poland before moving to Paris to work as an illustrator for luxury brands including Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent and Stella McCartney. 

Her journey to Paris struck Marta so much that she hasn’t left, and now, with a sketchbook always at hand, she feels alive drawing dynamically from the unaware model, capturing characters in cafes, parks and the metro; imagining their stories.
