Caro Burberry

It was the fields and woodlands of rural Buckinghamshire and Suffolk that provided Caro Burberry with a deep and enduring connection to nature.

A lifelong artist with a strong background in printmaking and drawing, she received a classical training at The Frink School of Figurative Sculpture.

Caro has enjoyed collaborations with fine art foundries and museums in the UK and USA. Her sculptures cast in bronze and iron are commissioned and exhibited worldwide.

Now working from her studio near Framlingham, Caro creates sculpture celebrating the natural world using a variety of enduring, ecologically compatible materials.

Birds, plants and water are frequently occurring themes. “I have a hand in all processes from sketch to sculpture whatever the scale of my work. My aim, through my sculpture, is to explore and to celebrate life, to bring joy and tranquil, contemplative moments. To create pieces that are naturally at home in garden plantings, quiet corners and indoor displays.”

Caro has kindly opened her studio for the Meet The Artist experience.
