Joy Gosney is an artist utilising intuition and freedom within her painting process to create evocative abstract landscapes, always infused with a captivating sense of quiet energy.

Joy’s 25 year background in illustration gives her an inbuilt knowledge of colour and composition which allowed her to move seamlessly into the fine art practice she now enjoys.

She lives on the Nottinghamshire border and works from a large purpose-built studio in her garden, where she draws inspiration from both childhood memories of the patterns and shapes of Lincolnshire agricultural fenland, the area in which she grew up, as well as from more recent travels to Sri Lanka and Italy.
