Maria Fletcher’s painting journey started in lockdown, alongside her daughter Lia as ‘Mother Daughter Create’. Maria is fascinated by pattern and colour and has a closely observed method. Her brush strokes capture the delightful richness and energy within flowers and the landscape. She is now widely collected in private collections and has shown in London and locally in Suffolk. 

Maria found that lockdown gave her the time, it gave her the space to create – but having lived all her life in Suffolk, walking in the countryside, sailing the rivers and many wonderful holidays in Italy the inspiration started much earlier than these journeys.
